Pearl Psycho Rat - UV pike fly
Pearl Psycho Rat – all or nothing. This streamer is a white, flashy anomaly with red eyes straight out of a lab nightmare. A fully UV-active pattern with an unnatural shimmer – it looks like a radioactive test bait from a secret project that almost worked.
It might go through an entire trip without a touch… and then suddenly light up and outfish everything else in the box.
In Sweden – especially on tannin-stained lakes – Pearl Psycho Rat has been absolutely unmatched. And no one really knows why.
A streamer for those who don’t care about rules – only about results.

MODEL: Single Hook (pike fly on a single hook)
LENGTH: approx. 13–18 cm
ROD WEIGHT: from 8–10 AFTM (ideally #9)
(13 cm casts well with a #8 rod, 18 cm feels best on #9–10. Ultimately, it depends on your casting style and conditions.)
WEIGHTING: None (recommended with a cheburashka weight for spinning)
BUILD: 80–90% Flash (white UV pearl), 10–20% Snow Runner (white underbody)
EYES: Tab Eyes – blood red
UV ACTIVITY: Yes
HOOK: Traper SW40, Ahrex TP610 or Ahrex PR320
TECHNIQUE: Fly rod / spinning
TARGET SPECIES: Pike – especially in dark, tannic lakes, on cloudy days or when fishing deeper
It casts light and true – no surprises.
In the water, it flashes white like a ghostly, battle-worn baitfish. It doesn’t need much – sometimes just being there is enough.
It likes slow retrieves but also responds well to short, twitchy strips.
Spinning? Absolutely – with a cheburashka or light offset hook, it might be that one bait that *shouldn’t* work… but does.
