Chinook Black – articulated pike fly
Chinook Black is an autumn–winter pike streamer built on Chinook Black flash (purples, blues, charcoals, black, red) and black Nayat. The broad, meaty front pushes a lot of water, while the long, flash-heavy body gives a strong shine with every strip. The fly cuts a clear silhouette in the water column and doesn’t disappear in the background. It works great both in daylight and after dark – a solid choice for pike when the fish are looking for a strong, energetic trigger.
This is not a classic straight pike streamer – it’s an articulated pattern for predators that demand more than just a straight retrieve, or when you simply need to serve them a bigger piece of meat. Thanks to its construction, when fished properly it breaks in the middle, darts off to the side and shows its flank. A two-part baitfish-style fly built on a solid hook and shank – clearly larger in every dimension. Because of the articulation, the hook sits closer to the middle of the fly, which gives you a better chance of solid hook-ups, especially with big, cautious fish.

Aggressive strip? It changes course.
Pause? It turns sideways.
Longer, smoother pull? It waves and pulses along its entire length.Available in two lengths: the classic 22 cm and the more compact 15–16 cm.
Not every water calls for a cannon. But every water deserves a precise shot.A fly for huchen? Definitely.
A fly for pike? Even more so.
On a fly rod? Of course – we refined this type of streamer more than a dozen years ago and can’t imagine not having it in our boxes.
On spinning gear? Absolutely – with a cheburashka it swims like a classic baitfish and often ends up in a predator’s mouth.
