Rio Marie Special is our version of one of the most popular colour combinations used at Rio Marie in Brazil.

The combination of white, pearl, black and hot orange is natural, highly visible and extremely versatile. Many Polish anglers will recognise it as a proven colour layout that has also been effective in pike lures for years.

Our version uses a generous amount of pearl Pike Terror Flash. This makes the streamer reflect plenty of light while retaining the natural profile of a large prey fish.

Rio Marie Special is effective for peacock bass, also known as tucunaré, as well as payara, large catfish and pike. The Wiggle Tail version is particularly useful for payara and catfish because the strongly working tail increases movement and visibility.

It is one of those high-contrast patterns that works in a wide range of conditions and deserves a place in the box, whatever the destination.
