Mackerel SWM recreates the profile of a juvenile mackerel. The darker back, pale sides and elongated shape work wherever GT, roosterfish, tuna, sailfish, wahoo and large jacks hunt mackerel and other similarly shaped baitfish.

This large fly is built on a hand-twisted Dubbing Brush made from Nayat (Snow Runner) and Pike Terror Flash. The lightweight construction maintains a clear baitfish profile, tracks steadily and allows the materials to move freely during both fast and slower retrieves.

The same pattern can be tied with either a slim or a broader profile. The best choice depends on the fishery, retrieve and target species. If no preference is provided, we will tie the standard, broader profile.
