Hot Chartreuse — Iceland Special
Hot Chartreuse Iceland Special is a compact Baby Streamer for large trout, sea trout and other predators. This was the colour combination that started our Icelandic series, developed with guides and anglers living on the island.
Chartreuse, hot orange and a black back create a strong, readable contrast. It is designed for situations where the fly must remain visible and provoke a decisive response. This pattern has accounted for many genuinely large trout and remains one of the key Iceland Special flies.
Order it unweighted or with 0.6 g weighting, with or without a small Wiggle Tail. The standard tail is chartreuse; request another colour in the order notes.
The fly is not restricted to one lake or one destination. Iceland began its story, but does not define the limits of its use. After two seasons of testing, Czarek summed it up simply: “These flies should be banned.”
