Nayat Aqua Blue
Nayat Aqua Blue is a clean, saturated turquoise shade combining cool blue with a distinct touch of green. It works especially well in saltwater streamers and marine baitfish imitations, either as the main colour or as an accent along the back of the fly.
It is also an excellent addition to imitations of common European baitfish such as bleak, sunbleak and other small silver-blue species. Used sparingly, it works very well for defining the back or lateral line of a baitfish pattern.
It works across a very wide range of patterns – from the smallest baitfish flies to large streamers for tarpon, tuna and striped marlin.
It combines particularly well with white, pearl, silver, light blue, graphite and black, as well as pearl, silver and blue flash.
Nayat, also known as Snow Runner, is a natural material for tying streamers and large predator flies.
Product features:
- minimum hair length 15 cm, most commonly 17–20 cm
- natural, springy, suitably stiff and durable fibres
- the right stiffness helps maintain the profile of a large fly
- allows large silhouettes to be built without using excessive amounts of material
- does not mat or tangle
- easy to portion and position on the hook
- combines well with flash and other materials
- suitable for small baitfish patterns and large saltwater streamers
- every piece is hand-selected for density, fibre length and overall quality
Skin sizes may vary – performance depends primarily on fibre density and length. We have selected Nayat for our own flies and for sale for many years, so every piece contains a high proportion of long, dense and fully usable fibres.
