Rainbow Trout SRTH – articulated huchen streamer

Rainbow Trout SRTH is an articulated huchen streamer inspired by the colours of rainbow trout – a species that has been present for years in many European rivers: from Austria and Germany, through Slovenia and Bosnia, all the way to the Dunajec, Poprad and San.
A pattern that started out as a curiosity quickly became one of the most effective streamers in this category – both in strong-running rivers and on quieter huchen stretches. Subtle transitions of grey, olive, pink and blue with a light pearly sheen and delicate spots faithfully reproduce the look of a rainbow trout. Thanks to the articulated construction, the fly works with a wider, clearly “breaking” action on its axis, which gives a more aggressive, irregular movement – ideal for large, experienced fish. The Rainbow Trout SRHA variant keeps a natural profile and full stability in current, and at the same time can “break the pattern” – especially in cold water, on a slow retrieve or at the end of a pause.
In lakes with whitefish populations, this colour has long been considered a true killer for big pike. Weighted versions are also available – for fast currents, deep slots and winter days when you need to punch through slush or keep the fly running in the deeper part of the water column.

The fly casts light and accurately – no problem even with a 9-weight, while the larger sizes work best with a 10-weight rod.
During false casts it sheds water quickly and folds into a slim projectile.
In the water it flares and pulses, keeping a strong yet natural signal.
Visually it looks big, but it remains light and easy to cast.
You do not have to overwork it – but if you play more with the retrieve, it can surprise you with its unpredictable movement.
It also works with spinning gear. Our streamers are built for fly setups, but they perform excellently as spinning flies as well – especially when fished with a cheburashka.
