Psycho Rat – huchen streamer
Psycho Rat is a flashless version of our famous Pearl Psycho Rat, which has turned out to be the dark horse of more than one trip. Why did the fish choose this exact colour? I have no idea – maybe there is something in this simplicity that hits their instinct. One thing I do know: everyone who has been lucky enough to hook a huchen on a big white streamer says the takes were exceptionally aggressive and spectacular. Maybe it is a coincidence, or maybe there really is something in this colour that switches these amazing fish on.
Weighted versions are also available – for fast current, deep slots or winter conditions, when you need to punch through slush or keep the streamer in the deeper layers of the water.

TARGET SPECIES: Huchen, taimen, the largest trout
The fly casts light and accurately – no problem even with an 8-weight, but it works best with a 9-weight rod.
During false casts it sheds water quickly and folds into a slim projectile.
In the water it flares and pulses, keeping a strong yet natural signal.
Visually it looks big, but it remains light and easy to cast.
You do not have to overwork it – but if you play more with the retrieve, it can surprise you with its unpredictable movement. It also works with spinning gear. Our streamers are built for fly setups, but they perform excellently as spinning flies as well – especially when fished with a cheburashka.
It is a pike fly–style streamer that works straight away – no overthinking required.
A baitfish you can fish on the drop, like a jerkbait – or entirely your own way.
